Drum only – not toner. This product is a drum unit and does not contain toner. To print, you also need a separate toner cartridge: a TN-2530 or TN-2530XL toner cartridge.
When should you replace the drum?
The drum gradually wears with use. Your Brother printer will usually display a "Replace Drum" message when the drum is near the end of its life. You may also notice lines, marks, smudges, spots or faded pages on your printouts. When this happens, fitting a fresh DR-2530 drum unit restores clean, sharp print quality.
